I’d like to take a moment to speak with those of you so upset about your presidential choices that you have decided to not vote. I’ve got to be frank. That’s a cop out. While I respect your right to vote or not vote (you are an American citizen, right?), you have to know that for each one of you that holds back your vote for John McCain, there are others being actively courted by ACORN to register and vote for Barack Obama. While they publicly deny any partisan affiliation, what goes on behind the scenes is far different.

Sure, I don’t agree with John McCain on every talking point. But I don’t have to. It’s not a matter of whether I agree with the man 100%. It does matter who gets to make the next supreme court appointments. It does matter that the executive and legislative branches of government don’t get to form an unholy trinity with said supreme court and allow a system of rubber stamp bill signings and liberal bench decisions that throw our country into a further economic and social tailspin. It does matter that we get to keep our current freedoms – speech, religion, and the right to bear arms, just to name a few.

With John McCain, we can be sure that any supreme court justice he may get to appoint will be qualified and fair-minded. With John McCain, there will be checks and balances in the 3 pillars of government, and our personal freedoms will be guaranteed.

We’re all hungry for change, but you’ve got to know that sitting idly by while others make the decision for you is not the answer. By doing so, the vote you don’t cast for John McCain IS being cast for Barack Obama. It may not taste very good, but it’s better than the poisonous alternative. It’s time to make a stand, not sit on the sidelines. Your hand may shake, your heart may sink, but you have to complete that arrow for John McCain.

In all sincerity, the entire nation is counting on you to do the right thing.

Wow, heck of an interview with John McCain and Sarah Palin. What’s with the question, “Do you consider bombing an abortion clinic a terrorist act?”

Granted, the Maverickette could’ve answered the question better, but Williams shouldn’t have asked it in the first place. What sane, impartial ‘journalist’ would ask such a thing? That’s the rub… not one.

Is Williams really trying to find some moral equivalency between the Bill Ayers bombings of public buildings and that of an abortion clinic? Okay. I’ll agree to the supposition (though I think there is a difference). Suppose they are the moral equivalent, would the main stream media be attempting to sweep under the rug the fact that John McCain seemed to approve enough of a former abortion clinic bomber to have a political fundraiser hosted in the bomber’s home, serve on an 8-person board with him and even write a forward in the bomber’s book?

Can you honestly say the media would not be hounding the crap out of McCain AND the bomber over the link? Instead, the shoe is on the left foot and the matter is suddenly off limits. I’m having a really hard time believing people are ready to trust this Obama guy.

I’m Teddy Roosevelt.

As a bonus, here are a few timeless quotes from President Roosevelt.

“A healthy-minded boy should feel hearty contempt for the coward and even more hearty indignation for the boy who bullies girls or small boys, or tortures animals.”…”What we have a right to expect of the American boy is that he shall turn out to be a good American man.”

“There are good men and bad men of all nationalities, creeds and colors; and if this world of ours is ever to become what we hope some day it may become, it must be by the general recognition that the man’s heart and soul, the man’s worth and actions, determine his standing.”

“A vote is like a rifle: its usefulness depends upon the character of the user.”

“Let us speak courteously, deal fairly, and keep ourselves armed and ready.”

“Men with the muckrake are often indispensable to the well-being of society, but only if they know when to stop raking the muck.” “An epidemic in indiscriminate assault upon character does not good, but very great harm.” “There should be relentless exposure of and attack upon every evil practice, whether in politics, in business, or in social life. I hail as a benefactor every writer or speaker, every man who, on the platform, or in book, magazine or newspaper, with merciless severity makes such attack, provided always that he in his turn remembers that the attack is of use only if it is absolutely truthful.”

“There is not a man of us who does not at times need a helping hand to be stretched out to him, and then shame upon him who will not stretch out the helping hand to his brother.”

“Don’t hit at all if you can help it; don’t hit a man if you can possibly avoid it; but if you do hit him, put him to sleep.”

Yeah, Whoopi. That’s EXACTLY what he meant. He wants to make you his slave. Did you get hit on the head? Even Sherry was embarrassed for you. I absolutely LOVE that Whoopi prefaced her question with, “I don’t want to misinterpret what you’re saying.” Hahahaha!

A few random thoughts…

VP Palin? Right on. I’m ordering my hat right now.

VP Biden? Really? I guess Barack’s definition of change is different than mine.

For those saying Palin only got picked because Hillary wasn’t Obama’s choice for VP, I’m pretty sure the same people would also be critical of the McCain’s choice if Obama HAD chosen Hillary. There’s just no winning with some misogynistic libs.

Why are the Dems still so hot under the collar about Iraq when we’re actively working with the Iraqi government on a withdrawal plan? I really don’t get why this is a campaign issue when Obama has said he wouldn’t pull troops out right away. The plan will be ratified by the current administrations but if Obama gets in office, I guarantee he will take credit for bringing the troops home.

So The Boss, Bruce Springsteen, has endorsed Barack Obama as his choice for US Pres. Here’s what Bruce had to say…

“He has the depth, the reflectiveness, and the resilience to be our next president,”

That means that Barack has a very large, porous, oily, rubbery fivehead (it’s just a little bit bigger than a forehead). I don’t know what this has to do with Obama’s qualifications to become the next POTUS, but who knows how musician’s minds work.

“He speaks to the America I’ve envisioned in my music for the past 35 years, “

Titles like – Badlands, Streets of Fire, Wreck on the Highway, Two Faces, My Best Was Never Good Enough, My City of Ruins…

“…a generous nation with a citizenry willing to tackle nuanced and complex problems, “

He means – A citizenry who focuses on the tedium and things unimportant compared to the sovereignty of the nation.

“… a country that’s interested in its collective destiny and in the potential of its gathered spirit. A place where ‘…nobody crowds you, and nobody goes it alone.”

Man, even I don’t understand this one. At first I thought he was in favor of population control ala Ted Turner and Paul Ehrlich. But, I think this last sentence sputtered forth from his lips at the exact same time the angel dust finally kicked in.

Here are a few things the Democrat side didn’t clap for…

Making tax relief permanent and not increasing taxes.

Limiting the number of earmarks in bills.

Trusting patients and doctors together to make medical decisions, not the government.

Children grades 4 & 8 achieving the highest math scores in U.S. history.

African American and Hispanic kids achieving all time high test scores.

Allowing poor children the opportunity to go to private schools through government grants.

Free trade agreements with Columbia, Peru and South Korea which would help create new jobs in the US and improve our economy.

The idea that democracy leads to a better life.

Helping displaced workers learn new skills to find new jobs.

The expansion of medical research without the need to destroy human life.

Empowering judges to uphold the constitution.

Not delaying decisions by providing up or down votes for judicial nominees.

Working to defeat al-Qaeda.

Not allowing ground gained in the war on terror to be lost.

The Iraqi people taking control of their own future.

Maintaining the security of our country through intelligence gathering techniques.

Interesting list huh?
