Arsenic or Asparagus?

I’d like to take a moment to speak with those of you so upset about your presidential choices that you have decided to not vote. I’ve got to be frank. That’s a cop out. While I respect your right to vote or not vote (you are an American citizen, right?), you have to know that for each one of you that holds back your vote for John McCain, there are others being actively courted by ACORN to register and vote for Barack Obama. While they publicly deny any partisan affiliation, what goes on behind the scenes is far different.

Sure, I don’t agree with John McCain on every talking point. But I don’t have to. It’s not a matter of whether I agree with the man 100%. It does matter who gets to make the next supreme court appointments. It does matter that the executive and legislative branches of government don’t get to form an unholy trinity with said supreme court and allow a system of rubber stamp bill signings and liberal bench decisions that throw our country into a further economic and social tailspin. It does matter that we get to keep our current freedoms – speech, religion, and the right to bear arms, just to name a few.

With John McCain, we can be sure that any supreme court justice he may get to appoint will be qualified and fair-minded.  With John McCain, there will be checks and balances in the 3 pillars of government, and our personal freedoms will be guaranteed.

We’re all hungry for change, but you’ve got to know that sitting idly by while others make the decision for you is not the answer. By doing so, the vote you don’t cast for John McCain IS being cast for Barack Obama. It may not taste very good, but it’s better than the poisonous alternative. It’s time to make a stand, not sit on the sidelines. Your hand may shake, your heart may sink, but you have to complete that arrow for John McCain.

In all sincerity, the entire nation is counting on you to do the right thing.

What The Hell, Brian Williams?

Wow, heck of an interview with John McCain and Sarah Palin. What’s with the question, “Do you consider bombing an abortion clinic a terrorist act?”

Granted, the Maverickette could’ve answered the question better, but Williams shouldn’t have asked it in the first place. What sane, impartial ‘journalist’ would ask such a thing? That’s the rub… not one.

Is Williams really trying to find some moral equivalency between the Bill Ayers bombings of public buildings and that of an abortion clinic? Okay. I’ll agree to the supposition (though I think there is a difference). Suppose they are the moral equivalent, would the main stream media be attempting to sweep under the rug the fact that John McCain seemed to approve enough of a former abortion clinic bomber to have a political fundraiser hosted in the bomber’s home, serve on an 8-person board with him and even write a forward in the bomber’s book?

Can you honestly say the media would not be hounding the crap out of McCain AND the bomber over the link? Instead, the shoe is on the left foot and the matter is suddenly off limits. I’m having a really hard time believing people are ready to trust this Obama guy.
